Meet Keely

My name is Keely, and my journey spans from the heart of the UK to the vibrant landscapes of Haiti and back again.

I started my professional journey as a research assistant at UWIC (now Cardiff Met), where I focused on research projects related to well-being and behaviour. This experience set the stage for my career and sparked my passion for making a meaningful impact.

 

My path then led me to Haiti, where I immersed myself in volunteer work at a small private university. Teaching health psychology classes and assisting with school administration, I found myself drawn to the world of non-profits and charitable organisations. I spent some time with a new organisation whose mission was to provide mental health services in Haiti, helping with their organisation set-up, from file management systems to program development and evaluation.

 

It was here that I began increasing my administrative skills, specifically as they relate to new and smaller businesses and organisations. I then went on to be an administrative director at another grass-roots non-profit that focuses on the treatment of severe malnutrition and family sustainability initiatives. In this role I was able to provide administrative support to Haitian national staff, as well as US based staff and board of directors - from task management and program design to networking with donors and partners, as well as overseeing the financial responsibilities of the organisation.

 

What’s my goal? To use my international administrative expertise to support clients worldwide, in both for-profit and non-profit sectors no matter what stage it’s at, whilst specialising in support for the neurodivergent community. 

 

Driven by my innate traits as a typical Enneagram type one, I thrive on structure, pursue knowledge relentlessly, and embody idealism and optimism.

 

Organisation is not just a trait; it's a way of life for me. From agendas and lists to colour-coded files and calendars, I've honed these tendencies into a formidable arsenal of administrative skills that I am passionate about deploying to support clients.
